A project-configured furniture proposal should turn a buyer’s room, users and operating needs into items that can be drawn, sampled, priced and checked. “Custom” does not mean that every feature is possible or already included. It means the parties identify which dimensions, materials, interfaces and services need project confirmation.

Define the requirement before choosing the solution
Start with a current room list and measured drawings. For each space, identify users, activities, quantities, equipment, storage, privacy, maintenance and any building interfaces. Then separate requirements into three groups:
- Fixed requirements: measured constraints, destination rules, approved capacity, required access, equipment sizes and other conditions the proposal must satisfy.
- Preferences: finish direction, furniture language, preferred layout and optional functions that can be compared against cost and feasibility.
- Open questions: information still needing site measurement, product evidence, sample approval, other-trade coordination or an Owner decision.

Choose what needs a drawing, sample or written confirmation
| Decision | Useful confirmation | Typical risk if left implicit |
|---|---|---|
| Size and fit | Dimensioned product drawing and room layout based on agreed measurements. | A product fits the nominal room but conflicts with doors, routes, equipment or another trade. |
| Construction | Written material and component description, including edges, supports, hardware and interfaces relevant to the item. | A visual reference is interpreted as a construction promise. |
| Colour and finish | Matched physical sample or controlled finish reference linked to the line item. | Screen colour, grain or sheen is mistaken for the supplied finish. |
| Performance or compliance | Current document matched to the exact product, material, claim and destination. | A general group certificate is treated as evidence for every product. |
| Site interface | Responsibility note for measurement, electrical or data work, wall or floor fixing, access, assembly and testing. | Furniture, building and installer scopes leave a gap. |
Use approval points that both sides can identify
- Brief review: confirm rooms, quantities, priorities, location, timing and missing information.
- Option review: compare layouts or product directions against the same stated requirements.
- Technical review: resolve dimensions, materials, hardware, service openings, storage and site interfaces.
- Sample and drawing approval: record the accepted revision and the line items it controls.
- Quotation and contract review: confirm included products and services, exclusions, trade terms, installation charge, validity and responsibilities.
- Production and handover records: use the documents agreed for inspection, packing, shipping, site delivery and installation.
Revisions after approval can affect cost and timing. The project documents should state how a change is requested, reviewed and incorporated before work proceeds.

Clarify delivery and installation boundaries
GEORGE Group can discuss work from design through on-site installation, with installation charged separately. A quotation should state which party measures the site, finalizes drawings, supplies accessories, prepares floors or walls, receives goods, moves them within the building, assembles and fixes furniture, connects any building services, removes packaging and signs the handover. These responsibilities can differ by destination and project.

Questions buyers often ask before an inquiry
- Is there a minimum number of pieces?
- There is no general item-count minimum. The reference minimum order value is USD 18,000; the actual threshold and commercial scope are confirmed in the quotation.
- How quickly is a quotation prepared?
- Five working days is the usual reference once sufficient project information is available. Complexity and missing decisions can change that time, and it is not a production or delivery promise.
- How long is a quotation valid?
- Thirty days is the usual reference. Read the actual quotation for its validity, currency, inclusions and exceptions.
- Is installation included?
- No general free-installation promise applies. On-site installation can be discussed and is charged separately, with destination and site scope agreed for the project.
