For a delivered institutional furniture project, a support review starts by identifying the order, item and condition. A photograph of damage alone may not show which product is involved, how it was installed or used, or whether the requested remedy falls within the agreed warranty and destination responsibilities.
Prepare a support record
- Order and project: contracting company, quotation or order number, project name, destination and delivery date.
- Item identity: room, schedule line, product or drawing reference, quantity affected and any label, package or component identifier.
- Condition: clear overall and close photographs, what happened, when it was first noticed, and whether the issue is stable or changing.
- Use and environment: user context, loading, cleaning, movement, moisture, exposure and any event connected with the problem.
- Installation and maintenance: who assembled or fixed the item, relevant handover record, care actions and previous repairs.
- Immediate safety: whether the item has been taken out of use or the area secured. Urgent site safety should be managed by the responsible local project party.
Do not alter evidence before the first review
Unless an immediate safety action is required, avoid dismantling, discarding, refinishing or repairing the affected part before the support contact has reviewed the evidence. Keep labels, packaging information, removed components and the relevant drawings or instructions. If work must proceed, photograph the condition and record who acted and why.
How an evaluation can progress
- GEORGE Office identifies the order and checks whether the item and issue can be matched from the submitted record.
- Additional photographs, measurements, video, documents or local inspection information may be requested.
- The parties review the agreed product, warranty language, exclusions, use, installation, maintenance and destination responsibility.
- A written response can then describe the finding, further investigation, part, repair, replacement, paid support or other proposed action.
- Cost, shipping, site work, disposal, timing and acceptance should be confirmed before a remedy proceeds.
Understand the five-year reference correctly
Five years is GEORGE Office’s light B2B warranty reference. It is not an unconditional promise that every item, component, finish, use condition or remedy receives the same coverage. The actual warranty period, starting point, products, exclusions, maintenance requirements, geographic responsibilities and available remedy are determined by the project quotation, contract and supporting terms.
A support request does not automatically mean free replacement, an on-site visit or acceptance of a claim. Spare-part availability, compatible finishes, shipping, duties, local labour and access can affect the practical response, especially for older or phased projects.
Submit the support request
Email [email protected] or contact Barry Liu at +86 18566012949. Include the order, item and condition record above. For a traceable written request, put the order or project reference in the email subject and identify every affected line item in the message.
